A classic, elegant silk satin with a luxurious, smooth finish and beautiful drape. This 100% silk fabric is a medium-light 12 momme (mm) weight and is 114cm wide. Woven with a satin weave, it has a lustrous sheen on one side and a matt finish on the reverse – making it ideal for projects requiring both beauty and versatility.

Soft, supple and fluid, this silk satin is suitable for dyeing, painting, eco-printing, or use as-is in its natural white state. Popular for silk painting, bridalwear, lingerie, scarves, and accessories, as well as theatrical and couture garments.

Silk satin takes up dyes vibrantly and evenly, producing stunning results across acid dyes, fibre-reactive dyes (on silk), or natural dye techniques. It is also an excellent choice for felting projects and layered textile work due to its smooth surface.

Sold by the metre and cut in continuous lengths when purchasing more than one metre.

Care Instructions:
Hand wash gently in cool water with pH-neutral detergent. Do not wring. Dry flat or hang to dry away from direct sunlight. Iron on low heat using a pressing cloth.

When ordering online you can choose 'Click & Collect' for order collection at our premises at 2/99 Heyington Ave, Thomastown, Victoria. We will call you confirming when your order is ready to collect.

Orders can be collected 10am 4pm Monday to Friday and we would appreciate it if you could collect your order within a week.
