Soy Wax Professional Grade GW 464

Professional grade GW 464 soy wax is made from hydrogenated soy oil and contains a soy-based additive. It is a natural, kosher wax. The soy-based additive allows the wax to be poured at a higher temperature—around 75°C—which can help reduce frosting and allow for a higher fragrance oil (FO) percentage.

GW 464 has a lower melt point, which helps provide a good burn and improved adhesion to glass containers. It is suitable for container candles, tealights and clamshell melts, but is not suitable for moulds.

 No additional additives are required.

 Storage and Use Information

Seasonal temperature changes may require adjustments to the pour temperature. Higher pour temperatures may be required during colder months, while lower pour temperatures may be more suitable during warmer months.

Visible condensate may sometimes be present in both the wax flakes and melted wax as a result of the manufacturing process and storage conditions. This may affect how candles set. It is recommended that the wax is thoroughly aired before use. Condensation can occur with all types of wax.

All soy waxes may also occasionally contain visible black sediment. This can occur during the manufacturing and packing process when polymerised oil becomes trapped in production lines. This has no effect on the performance or finished quality of the candles.
