Pure Mulberry Silk Tops – Bombyx Mori

Pure Mulberry Silk Tops – Bombyx Mori

Our Pure Mulberry Silk Tops are made from the finest Bombyx Mori silk – the highest quality silk in the world. Exceptionally soft, lustrous and smooth, these beautiful tops are perfect for spinning, felting, paper making, silk fusion, or luxurious fibre blending.

Produced from silkworms fed exclusively on mulberry leaves, the fibres are long, uniform and naturally white, making them ideal for natural dyeing, eco-printing or shibori techniques. The long staple length and glossy sheen give your finished yarns and textiles a wonderfully silky handle and elegant drape.

Suitable for both handspinners and fibre artists, this premium silk top can be used on its own for pure silk creations, or blended with other fibres such as wool, alpaca, or cashmere to add strength, lustre and softness.

Ideal for:
• Handspinning and blending with other fibres
• Felting and nuno felting projects
• Silk paper making and silk fusion
• Natural dyeing, shibori and eco-printing
• Adding lustre and drape to hand-dyed yarns
