Latte Milk Tops 100% Casein Fibre – Natural White
Latte Milk Tops – Natural White is a unique and luxurious fibre made from the casein proteins found in milk. Soft, lustrous and silky in appearance, this innovative fibre behaves more like wool when spun, making it both versatile and fascinating for spinners, felters and textile artists alike.
Produced through a process similar to viscose bamboo, milk fibre is created using zinc oxide, which gives it naturally bacteriostatic qualities. While bacteria may survive temporarily on the fibre, they cannot replicate, making it a hygienic and skin-friendly choice. With a natural pH of 6.8 – the same as human skin – milk fibre is exceptionally comfortable to wear and gentle against the body.
This fibre is beautifully white, fluffy and springy, with excellent moisture absorption and breathability. It dyes easily and evenly with both natural and synthetic dyes, producing vivid, rich colours. Latte Milk Tops can be spun on its own for a fine, silky yarn, or blended effortlessly with wool, silk, alpaca, bamboo or other natural fibres to add strength, lustre and softness to your projects.
Ideal for spinning, felting, weaving and fibre arts, this eco-conscious and innovative fibre offers a sustainable and creative alternative to traditional materials.
