Six 20 g sachets of primary Procion MX reactive dye colours:

Yellow MX8G, Red MX8B, Blue MXGN, Turquoise, Green MXG, Black MX2R.

  • 500 g Soda Ash (sodium carbonate) – fixative/alkali for reactive dye bath.
  • 500 g Glauber Salt (sodium sulphate) – auxiliary salt for dyeing.
  • 250 ml Dynazol Wash-Off – post-dye treatment to remove excess or unattached dye.

The kit is described as “enough dye and chemical to get you started on your exciting dyeing journey with Procions.”

  1. Before dyeing, pre-wash your fabric to remove finishes and ensure even uptake.
  2. Confirm the fabric is primarily cellulose-based (e.g., cotton, linen, rayon); synthetic fibres will not take Procion MX dyes properly.
  3. Use the included instructions: mix the Soda Ash fixative first, prepare the salt bath if required, then add dye powders.
  4. Maintain correct proportions: the kit gives enough for entry projects, but weight of fabric will affect depth of colour.
  5. After dyeing and fixing, treat with the included Dynazol Wash-Off to remove unbound dye and improve wash-fastness.
  6. Wear protective gloves and ensure good ventilation. Follow safety instructions exactly.

Online orders are sent using Australia Post during business hours Monday to Friday. Orders are usually sent 1-2 days after your order is placed or when a pre-ordered item arrives. We email shipping confirmation with tracking information when your order is dispatched.

Shipping : International

We currently ship outside Australia to many countries using Australia Post’s International Express service. Rates will be automatically calculated at checkout.

Click & Collect : Thomastown

When ordering online you can choose 'Click & Collect' for order collection at our premises at 2/99 Heyington Ave, Thomastown, Victoria. We will email you confirming when your order is ready to collect.

Orders can be collected 10am 4pm Monday to Friday and we would appreciate it if you could collect your order within a week.
