This all-in-one kit is specially formulated to overdye cotton, linen, Tencel, rayon, silk-rich blends and most cotton-based garments into a permanent navy blue using only hot tap water. Don’t discard your favourite pieces — refresh them with deep navy tones.

Suitable fabrics:

100% cotton, linen, Tencel, rayon, silk and most cotton-blend items.

Not compatible with:

Polyester, nylon, acrylic or garments that include polyester threads in construction. The kit will not effectively dye those.

  • If your item already has a print, you may still see traces of it after dyeing depending on the original print colour.
  • Dye quantity depends on the original colour and weight of the garment — a guide is included with the kit.

Kit contents:

  • 100 g of navy dye (enough to dye 1 kg or more of fabric)
  • 500 g soda ash (fixative)
  • 250 g Glauber salt (auxiliary)

  1. Check garment labels to confirm fibre make-up — ensure it’s mainly cellulose.
  2. Avoid fabrics with high polyester/nylon content — the kit won’t deliver the expected results.
  3. Consider how light or dark the original colour is — darker bases respond more easily; light or very faded items may need extra attention.
  4. Follow the included instructions: correct proportions, hot tap water, proper agitation and rinse protocol.
  5. Use protective gloves and ensure good ventilation during mixing and dyeing.

Online orders are sent using Australia Post during business hours Monday to Friday. Orders are usually sent 1-2 days after your order is placed or when a pre-ordered item arrives. We email shipping confirmation with tracking information when your order is dispatched.

Shipping : Australia

Shipping is calculated at checkout according to the weight of the order, and your address location.

Most orders will have the option of:

  • Australia Post Standard Shipping (estimated delivery in 3-5 days)
  • Australia Post Express Shipping (estimated delivery in 2-3 days)

Kraftkolour may use other carriers from time to time for bulky or heavy shipments.

Shipping : International

We currently ship outside Australia to many countries using Australia Post’s International Express service. Rates will be automatically calculated at checkout.

Click & Collect : Thomastown

When ordering online you can choose 'Click & Collect' for order collection at our premises at 2/99 Heyington Ave, Thomastown, Victoria. We will email you confirming when your order is ready to collect.

Orders can be collected 10am 4pm Monday to Friday and we would appreciate it if you could collect your order within a week.
