Ashford Merino DK
100% Merino DK weight yarn. This fine merino is beautifully soft to the touch. The unique high twist construction of eight finely spun singles are plied in pairs then plied again giving the finished yarn a sleek look with fabulous stitch definition which is less prone to pilling and abrasion. This light, airy, warm yet very durable yarn is super versatile and suitable for all kinds of knitting, from baby wear through to adult garments, accessories, shawls and blankets.

• 1kg cone at net standard condition
• 2000m (2200yds) per 1kg cone
• Gauge 20 – 22 sts x 28 rows = 10cm (4")
• Suggested Needle Size 3.25 – 4.00mm (3 – 6 US)
• Suggested Crochet Hook Size 4.5 – 5.5mm (7 – I-9 US)
• Suggested Weaving Reed 7.5dpi reed (30/10)

Please note that coned yarns have not been bulked – the process that happens when yarns are dyed or steamed - so they appear thinner. Once you have dyed or washed the yarns they will bulk up to their full condition.

If knitting with the unbulked yarns be sure to do a gauge swatch and wash/steam.
