The Clear Water Based Gutta from Opulence is a reliable resist medium designed especially for silk painting and heat-set or steam-set fabric paint workflows. It creates fine, precise barrier lines that prevent dye or paint from spreading beyond your intended design areas. Once the dyeing or painting is complete and the fabric is fixed, the gutta washes out easily in warm soapy water, leaving clean outlines or negative spaces.

  • Transparent gutta resist, compatible with silk paints and fabrics prepared for heat or steam setting.
  • Apply using fine applicator tips or brushes in clean, continuous lines to define design borders.
  • Allow gutta to dry thoroughly before applying dye or paint to ensure crisp edges.
  • After your painting/dyeing is complete and fixed, rinse in warm-hot soapy water to remove the gutta and reveal the defined lines.

Ensure the fabric is pre-washed, clean and free of residues. Use an applicator for consistent lines, avoid breaks or gaps in the gutta line so dye doesn’t bleed. Store the product sealed to prevent thickening and expiry.

Online orders are sent using Australia Post during business hours Monday to Friday. Orders are usually sent 1-2 days after your order is placed or when a pre-ordered item arrives. We email shipping confirmation with tracking information when your order is dispatched.

Most orders will have the option of:

We currently ship outside Australia to many countries using Australia Post’s International Express service. Rates will be automatically calculated at checkout.

Click & Collect : Thomastown

When ordering online you can choose 'Click & Collect' for order collection at our premises at 2/99 Heyington Ave, Thomastown, Victoria. We will email you confirming when your order is ready to collect.

Orders can be collected 10am 4pm Monday to Friday and we would appreciate it if you could collect your order within a week.
