Habotai silk, also known as “China silk”, is known for its fine, even weave and subtle sheen. Slightly more substantial than pongee, this 8mm habotai is ideal for silk painting, botanical dyeing, shibori, screen printing, and surface design. It absorbs colour beautifully and is a favourite among fibre artists and natural dyers for its responsiveness and versatility.

Care Instructions:
Gently hand wash in cool water with a pH-neutral detergent. Do not wring. Hang or lay flat to dry out of direct sunlight. Press on a low heat setting with a pressing cloth if needed.

When ordering online you can choose 'Click & Collect' for order collection at our premises at 2/99 Heyington Ave, Thomastown, Victoria. We will call you confirming when your order is ready to collect.

Orders can be collected 10am 4pm Monday to Friday and we would appreciate it if you could collect your order within a week.
